Eco-Energy’s platform was founded on its core business of Ethanol Marketing . Over the years, Eco-Energy's marketing services leveraged its reputation in the biofuels market, and through the right opportunities and relationships, a solid base was formed. Eco-Energy was acquired by Copersucar in Brazil to expand its global reach, making it the largest ethanol trading business in the world. This same year, the ethanol platform expanded to include midstream terminals with truck and rail capabilities. Eco-Energy saw considerable growth in the distribution business and natural gas efforts with five new terminals and expansion from 44 Bcf to 255 Bcf. The third-party logistics division was founded to offer supply chain solutions in trucking, rail, and barge to expand our offerings beyond the biofuel market.
