It was a conversation at dinner one night where co-founder Howard Huffman was asked if he knew how to connect a load cell to a PLC 2 within a control system for Kellogg’s production line of one of their most popular cereal brands. Grabbing a nearby napkin, Howard, an electrical engineer finishing up his last semesters of a Master’s program at Rose Hulman at the time, quickly designed a system uncommon in the state of Nebraska at the time.
