Sanders Supply has a long history in the trades dating back to 1929 when Ed B. Sanders opened an independent plumbing company. As the family grew, so did the business, evolving into Ed Sanders and Son Mechanical Contractors once Billy E. Sanders joined the company in the 1950s. In 1974, Ed retired and Bill took ownership. Bill spent many years in and out of wholesale houses, often still left looking for materials he needed. In 1978, Bill along with his wife Charlotte, decided it was time to open a supply house of their own and founded Sanders Plumbing Supply inc in Hot Springs. American Standard, Delta, Brizo, Moen, Elkay, and Aquarius were just a few of the well-known products that were offered. Bill and Charlotte's son, Ed R. Sanders, would join the company in 1986 after graduating from the University of Arkansas with a degree in accounting and receiving his CPA designation. This would begin the expansion of Sanders into multiple locations and branching out into HVAC offering International Comfort Products with a new Hot springs location.
