After studying robotics and automation at BCIT and earning an electrical engineering degree (B.Eng.) from the University of Victoria, Chris went to work designing and building mobile robotic systems. After working as an engineer in R&D and industrial automation for over 10 years, he pivoted, venturing out on his own and founding Propel Marine Electric. Since then, Chris’s passion for learning has lead him to becoming an ABYC Certified Master Technician, having earned ABYC certifications in Marine Electrical, Advanced Marine Electrical, and Marine Corrosion. Chris and his wife live in Nanaimo, with their Golden Retriever, Sunny. When he’s not working, he’s likely with his family; fishing, camping, or working in the garden.
