Their intention was to create an enjoyable and competitive pipe band to represent the state in high level competitions and public performances. Nearly three decades later, this is exactly what the band is still doing. Despite a relatively short history, the band has experienced success both on and off the contest field. The band has won 2 Australian Pipe Band Championships, 4 Victorian Pipe Band Championships, and numerous South Australian Pipe Band Championships. Off the contest field, the band has had the opportunity to perform in concert with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, John Farnham and Rod Stewart . The band is led by Pipe Major Andrew Fuller and proudly wears the Blue Ramsay tartan. M any items of uniform feature the Coat of Arms of the City of Adelaide . The band competes in pipe band contests in Grade 3.
