About Us History Building on a Legacy St. Joe Petroleum is a family-owned business, founded in 1978 by Ron Bachman Sr. Starting with one tank wagon, he delivered fuel and lubricants to area businesses and families. To him a handshake meant a “deal was a deal.” His business philosophy was to provide customers what they needed, when and where they needed it and he was committed to seeing his customers grow and flourish. As the company grew, Ron Sr. was joined in the business by his son Ron Jr. in 1992. Adopting his father’s work ethic, Ron Jr. took ownership of the company in 2001 and continued to build on what his father started. Since 2019, Ron Jr. has been joined in the business by his three sons (John, Jeff and Brett). Operating with the same family values since 1978, St. Joe Petroleum is eager to continue serving St. Joseph and the surrounding communities. Ron Sr. started the company with one tank wagon and sold Conoco products. Since that time, St. Joe Petroleum’s operations and product offering have expanded.
