Born of the idea that demand could be as controllable as a gas turbine, Dr. William Burke established Virtual Peaker to help utilities decarbonize and manage DERs. Virtual Peaker successfully received its first $1.2M round of seed funding to help utilities manage demand and imagine a more sustainable energy future. Expanding the team and growing rapidly, Virtual Peaker’s headquarters moved into its current location, facing the courtyard inside the historic NuLu Marketplace building. Recognizing utilities’ diverse needs, the platform integrated multiple suites , enabling customized and scalable SaaS solutions to maximize the value of distributed energy resources.
