Qcells Becomes First to Certify Silicon-Perovskite Tandem Cells to UL, IEC Standards

Qcells has secured UL 61215 and IEC 61215 certification for its silicon-perovskite tandem solar cells and modules, a bankability milestone the company says brings the next-generation technology closer to market.

Qcells says it has become the first company to certify silicon-perovskite tandem solar cells and modules to the UL 61215 and IEC 61215 standards, with testing carried out by TÜV Rheinland, PV Tech reports.
